Online Audio

At Netley Christian Fellowship, we record our three main services each week, and make the recordings available for others to listen, so that anyone (particularly those who would have wanted to meet with us, but were unable) can benefit from the ministry of the Word of God.

The recent introduction of a new public address and recording system has allowed us to undertake the considerable expansion of the recording and distribution ministry which has been on our hearts for some time. The development of a website at a similar time provides a further opportunity for expansion which we are keen to grasp.

The first phase of this expansion saw an overview of the recording ministry and an up-to-date copy of the recording catalogue online, along with an experimental ordering system. The project has recently entered its second phase, with sermon recordings being made available online in MP3 format. Initially, these were accessed via the online catalogue, but they have recently migrated to their own Online Sermons page, which should see significant improvement in the coming months.

Catalogue

The new catalogue comprises Wednesday recordings from the 17th of November 2004 onwards, and Sunday recordings from the 5th of December 2004 onwards. We hope to make the catalogue for recordings prior to these dates available online soon. In the meantime, please e-mail us if you wish to peruse the hard copy.

The catalogue is arranged in several categories: Sunday services (morning and evening services are listed separately), Wednesday studies and special occasions. Unless otherwise indicated, every service is available as a whole or as a sermon/study only. The catalogue can be viewed on the web, or downloaded in Microsoft Excel format, which allows you to sort the catalogue in such a way as to make it easier for you to find the recording you are looking for. We hope to make such facility available on the site itself in the near future.

Ordering

Orders can be placed by whatever method is convenient for you. The easiest method from our point of view is for you to use the on-line ordering system. However, since this is still in its testing phase, please also send us an e-mail to confirm the details of your order. Regardless of how you choose to place your order, please be sure to include the following information:

  1. Recording code (see below)
  2. Do you want the whole service, or just the sermon?
  3. What format do you want your recording in (see below)?
  4. How many copies do you require?
  5. How should we get your recording to you?

The recording code is listed under 'Code' in the catalogue. If you don't know the code, please supply the date of the service and, if it's a Sunday service, whether it's morning or evening.

Formats

We are now able to produce recordings in a wide variety of formats. Those currently available are as follows:

  • Compact cassette (the technical name for ordinary tapes)
  • Audio CD (playable on all but the very oldest CD players)
  • MiniDisc
  • MP3 or other computer formats

MP3 files (or similar) can be provided on several different media types (but not floppy disk!), or e-mailed to you - please specify your preference when ordering.

If you would like a recording in a format not listed here, please ask - we'll see what we can do.
